The Department of Defense has identified 1,871 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans:
DIESING, Trevor J., 30, Sgt. First Class, Army; Plum City, Wis.; Army Special Operations Command.
JERAK, Ivica, 42, Master Sgt., Army; Houston; Army Special Operations Command.
SHEA, Timothy M., 22, Cpl., Army; Sonoma, Calif.; Third Battalion, 75th Rangers.
