According to the Co-Chair of the Congressional Inquiry into 9/11 and former Head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Bob Graham, an FBI informant had hosted and rented a room to two hijackers in 2000 and that, when the Inquiry sought to interview the informant, the FBI refused outright, and then hid him in an unknown location, and that a high-level FBI official stated these blocking maneuvers were undertaken under orders from the White House(confirmed here)
Current Democratic U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy said "The two questions that the congress will not ask . . . is why did 9/11 happen on George Bush's watch when he had clear warnings that it was going to happen? Why did they allow it to happen?"
Current Republican Congressman Ron Paul calls for a new 9/11 investigationand states that "we see the [9/11] investigations that have been done so far as more or less cover-up and no real explanation of what went on"
Current Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich hints that we aren't being told the truth about 9/11

Less helpful were his (The vice president)comments that Israel's announcement on building in East Jerusalem was endangering American troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. This is the kind of rhetoric that does exactly what Mr. Biden has studiously avoided doing, linking the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to America's larger Middle East challenges, and it unnecessarily calls into question Israel's role as an ally and the impact on American interests. The Mearsheimer and Walts of this world will delight in this kind of criticism of Israel.

The question isn't who or why anymore so much as how. How could 200 thousand tonnes of steel have dropped to the ground in under 11 seconds because of a fire? Over a thousand engineers and architects say it simlpy couldn't, not the way it happened on September 11, and now they want a new investigation. Tim King has been following this issue in quite some time.

“How to Write a News Story.”
The first paragraph: “the lead” (in newsroom-speak it is spelled “the lede”).
This second paragraph: is the part of the story that seeks to convince you to drop your preconceptions and take this lesson with us, “the nut ‘graph” because it provides “the context of what the lede is: The lede explains ‘what happened’ and the nut explains ‘what does it mean?’” Truth is, the best writers learn over and over again how to write a news story
“Typically, if you are working in quick news fashion,” George comments, “you want to follow the nut with a quote: A very simple statement from someone who was at the event that gives context, life and meaning to what you have just written.”
Four easy steps to write: A lede, a nut ‘graph, a quote and then add background information

Erin then outlines five general points to keep in mind when writing: timeliness, conflict, currency, prominence and proximity.

TERMINAL GENERATION
Modern industrial civilization has developed within a certain system of convenient myths. the driving force of modern industrial civilization has been individual material gain which is accepted as legitimate even praiseworthy on the grounds that private vices yield public benefit in the classic formulation.
Now it has long been understood very well that a society based on this principle will destroy itself in time. it can only persist with whatever injustice and suffering it entails as long as it is possible to pretend that the destructive forces that humans create are limited, that the world is a infinite resource and that the world is an infinite garbage can.
at this stage of history either one of two things is possible, either the general population will take control of its own destiny and will concern itself with community interests guided by values of solidarity, sympathy and concern for others or alternatively there will be no destiny for anyone to control.
As long as some specialized class is in a position of authority it is going to set policy for the special interest that it serves, but the conditions of survival, let alone justice require rational social planning in the interest of community as a whole, and by now that means the global community.
The question is whether privileged elites should dominate mass communication and should use this power as they tell us they must , namely to impose necessary illusions, to manipulate and deceive the stupid majority, and remove them from the public arena.
the question in brief is whether democracy and freedom are values to be preserved or threats to be avoided. in this possible terminal phase of human existence democracy and freedom are more than values to be treasured , they may well be essential to survival

I really dont like Ron Pauls' politics, Right wing libertarians are Fredeerick von Hayek or Ann Ryn types. They are in fact what the neoconservatives claim to be but are not.
But at least they rage against the $1 trillion dollar annual defense budget, which since the demise of the Soviet Union, is driven completely by 911 event and the collapse of the 3 towers on that day.
It is a complete fraud and hustle and sets up RICO capitalism for a very narrow group of people while the rest of us go stratigt to hell. And since the leftist and liberals are out to lunch, Ron Paul is all we have.
But that really isnt my point. In this video Hillary Clinton is found saying
"It breaks my heart that 10 years ago we had a balanced budget, that we were on the way of paying down the debt of the United States of America," Clinton said.
"I served on the budget committee in the Senate, and I remember as vividly as if it were yesterday when we had a hearing in which Alan Greenspan came and justified increasing spending and cutting taxes, saying that we didn't really need to pay down the debt -- outrageous in my view," she said.

a military network larger than the Roman Empire, which at its height had 37 major military bases, and the British Empire which had 36.
More bases are planned; billions spent building bases in far off lands while large swaths of American cities degrade into impoverished zones and the infrastructure of the nation crumbles
When the Cold War ended U.S. decided to the sole superpower. U.S. military spending is equal to the whole world combined
U.S. Navy exceeds in firepower the next 13 navies combined
budgets are accounted for – the Pentagon, the wars, the 16 intelligence agencies, the super-sized embassies – total Empire spending is more than $1 trillion annually
the entrenched military-industrial complex that President Eisenhower warned us about in 1961 is now so powerful that cutting the military budget is off the table in Washington, DC
The war budget grows and grows despite a fragile if not collapsing economy at home
